Do you still use floppy disks?

    You know, your post made me think. Why might you continue to use floppy disks?

    Because they're obselete!

    Because it has been so long since anyone has used them seriously, what is more secure than a floppy disk? Even if you lose a floppy disk with important information on it, it's so unlikely that anyone who finds it will have the means to access the data, you're arguably more safe than a usb!

    That's a good point. With that said I guess I just might try buying one for the purpose of storing important and confidential info on it in case I will need it. I doubt anyone would bother trying to view files on a floppy disk, since they will assume it only contains a bunch of Microsoft Word or Excel files from some student way back when flash drives were not popular yet.

    I don't think anyone still uses them anymore. They were before my time though. I've only ever seen someone use a floppy disk one time and that was when I was in 4th grade. My last two computers didn't even have a slot for them.
