Yum! I tried Stubb's for the first time when I was on vacation in August. It is delicious - and for something that's low on sugar (which I didn't know about), I really thought it was great and sweet. This sounds like a great recipe and I can't wait to try it. Thanks!

No. It's too expensive and we already lack the space in our kitchen. For stews, we just make it in the pot and then put it in the fridge. When we want the stew, we just warm it up in the oven and eat it that way. My fiancee would love to have one, though, but we certainly don't want to spend the money.

Where are you looking? The slow cooker I got, even though it is very small at 1.5 qts, was just around $20.00 on Amazon.com. And it was a $20 well spent, since I've made a ton of food in it. For my boyfriend and me, it is really a great size - you don't end up making TOO much food. If we have any leftovers, it's usually good for one person's lunch the next day.

I probly cook about half the food I eat in a slow cooker. It's the most efficient way to cook large batches of food and i love the convenience. I would really have a hard time without one. How else can you cook beans? They take all day long.
