I have used the Dove bar soap before, and when I used it after showering, my skin feels so dry so I switched to a different brand instead.
I prefer soaps with less perfume. In fact I use Simple soap because I think it's the perfume that dries your skin out. It also depends on what skin type you have. My skin is dry and sensitive especially as I've got older so I prefer to use a moisturising body wash. I would never use Dove soap on my face;
