With all the droughts that have been occuring globaly is anyone else concerned about what is going to happen to the price of grains and meat? Many farmers here in the US have been forced to sell their livestalk because they will not be able to feed them this winter due to the lack of grains. I have been buying meat in bulk as well as wheat and corn flour while the prices are still good. What are you doing?
I would probably just cut back on meat consumption then to offset it. I'm not terribly worried about it, just a minor change in eating habits until the prices go back to normal levels.
I'm trying not to worry about it. Sometimes that sort of thing is blown out of proportion by the media. I'm sure prices will go up some what, but I usually wait and see how it effects the food I buy. We have eliminated some meat already. We try to have 2 vegetarian meals a week. It saves some money and usually it's healthier.
Prices have been going up already. A loaf of bread that used to be around 3.00 dollars is now over 5.00, that's a big jump. They say that the corn crop was not as bad as they thought, so that is good because corn is used in so many things. I try not to worry about it.
Where in the world does a loaf of bread cost $3? I don't think I've ever paid much more that $2.25 for a loaf of plain white bread.
