In our country, KKD has better quality than DD. You would often see KKD shops inside malls and not DDs. Dunkin' Donuts has become a shop for the masses while KKD is for upper-middle classes.
I've never had either. Dunkin Donuts are more popular over here, Krispy Kreme is still quite a new brand to the UK. I knew about Krispy Kreme from Sex & the City and I always wondered what they are like. I prefer to make my own donuts, it can be time consuming but it's worth when you do it well and it will save money also.
I like dunkin donuts over krispy creme. I like their muffins. I don't know with others but I find krispy kreme donuts too sweet for me. The problem with Dunkin donut near my place is that they sometimes don't have many donuts to select from.
As a child I alsways loved getting to go to Shipley's on Saturday mornings. I really miss their donuts. They had the best creme filled, regular glazed, and have been the only one's since, that I know of that had Strawberry or Cherry Iced Donuts. Just thinking about it now is making my mouth water.
kcmoney actually hit it on the head for me. I don't like my donuts, pastries, or breads to be overly moist. I prefer them a little on the dry side. Maybe that's why I prefer Dunkin Donuts.
Dunkin Donuts are okay. I mean, they're donuts. If it's a pastry or a bakery item, I'm going to eat it. That's why I'm not a size 8 anymore. That being said, I do much prefer Krispy Kreme Donuts. Especially if they're fresh. I find that Krispy Kreme tastes different if you get them from a grocery store. Of course, I'll still eat them.
Krispy Kreme is better. They taste better, and aren't dry like Dunkin Donuts. I eat Dunkin Donuts, but only in a pinch. When I really want a donut and have no Krispy Kreme around. I think Dunkin's Boston Cremes are awesome though. Their lime and raspberry Coolatta's are the stuff as well.
This is such a great thread, because both brands are almost even. For me though, I would much prefer Krispy Kreme over Dunkin Donuts. Growing up all I had was Krispy Kreme. I guess you can say I have grown accustomed to it. They are such great tasting donuts it is actually hard to resist the temptation of eating them.
