I don't know if this is just a craze or a budding home fashion - dyeing old blankets to look like new. The dyeing powder is cheap but the color is quite good as I had seen in the sample of my niece. She said that her classmates in school (she is in college student) are making it a sideline business to dye your blanket for you with the desired color mixture.

I will be trying it when I find a small blanket for a sample.

Your niece's classmates have very innovative minds. I think doing that is actually a good idea especially if you want to make your old blankets look more alive and new again. I love restoring old items back to their new state so I think I'm going to try that out some time too. :)

Where do they buy the dye for the cloth? My shirt was bleached and I want to restore it back to it's color. There is a small white spot and it's unsightly.

Anyway, that's a good idea. How's business doing and how much do they charge for their services?
