Could anyone tell me how much electricity costs would run me, for a family of 3? This will be my first apartment and we are only required to pay electricity. I am unsure of what our first month's bill will look like, due to never having paid a utility bill before. We have an electric stove, by the way. I cook 2-3 meals a day by stove or microwave. We are very good with turning lights off when we aren't in a room or when we leave a room. Our family consists of 2 adults and 1 toddler. How much on average do you think we might end up spending monthly? What can we do to keep electric costs down, besides cutting out stove top meals and turning lights off? What should I watch out for that will "hike" up our electric bill?
