Ever heard of the news that a Pepsi bottle contained a dead cockroach inside?

    Oh yuck, that really skeeves me out! I'm sure it happens, but I don't like to think about.

    Once, I bought brown rice in a bag. Next day I had a horrible infestation of maggots in my cupboard. Talk about getting sick. UGH.

    That's pretty gross. That wouldn't surprise me that things like this would happen. Did you ever read about the things the FDA allows in food. Clearly they wouldn't allow that, but I bet a small subset of the Pepsi corporation may be a little less stringent with safety laws.On the other hand I heard this years ago and it could be as true as crocodiles living in the sewer.

    If you can't find a reliable news source for this story then the chances are it never happened.

    Yes Ive heard of it. If its true blame them for not cleaning the factory thoroughly. Cockroach is a big issue for food and beverage companies and its a no no even to have one inside the factory. Theres a tendency that the cockroach was on one of those filling stations and it got trapped inside. Pepsi is dark and the tendency you see it is less than the lighter colored pepsi products like Mountain Dew so their QA or any other employee must have missed it.
    Every food and beverage factory must have an excellent sanitation. Pepsi just showed how dirty they are.

    That's really disgusting.
    Bugs in food seems like it's more common now. Hopefully it doesn't steer me away from actually buying food or drinks.

    I haven't heard of this but ewww. I don't know what I would do if I had already started drinkning a pepsi soda and once getting to the bottom I saw that. I know that the company is going to fight that it wasn't from them. They more than likely try to say that the person must have had the soda laying around and that's when a roach got in the soda. This is sickening and I hope that I never experience this.

    I can believe this. I imagine the bottling company could easily have a roach problem and one of them ending up inside a vat of soda before it gets bottled. Maybe they should have a strainer over the bottle as it gets filled. Yuck!

    To be honest, that story sounds a little too far-fetched to be true. If this actually happened, then that is truly disgusting. This alleged story sounds similar to those stories you hear about people finding gross things such as condoms or hair in their food at McDonalds. Whoever found the cockroach should call and complain, it's only fair. I really hope accidents like this don't happen again.

    I actually heard about this as well. I do not think it is a ploy by other companies. Personally, I believe this. Luckily, I do not drink Pepsi much anyway. This gross little fact shows that Coca Cola is superior!

    Well, i would be pretty upset if that happened to me, but sometimes you just can't control this kind of thing. In a world so big, it's bound to happen wrong stuff.

    See it this way, this way you could sue the company and get some money out of it!

    Who knows I don't drink sodas anymore unless they are healthy sodas like Jamaican ginger ale or something like that. Those commercial sodas are full of corn syrup. I try to stay away from that ingredient as much as possible. I'm a health addict.

    Jamaican ginger ale? So I guess this is not schweppes or Canada Dry lol? I've never heard of Jamaican ginger ale.
