I am also a sucker for this, sometimes I'm more interested in the price than the item and I end up not using it all, one good deal added to my never use collection.
Oh, yes. Without a doubt! It actually allows me to try out new things that I wouldn't necessarily purchase otherwise. Often I'll buy snacks and such if they're on sale at the grocery store. I've discovered countless tasty chip flavours because of it.
I do this more often than I would like to admit. I know I'm not saving money if I'm buying a product I wouldn't have gotten full price but if it's really cheap i just can't resist. I don't have the willpower. Once I got a fax leather jacket for $5 because that is an amazing deal. I have worn it twice, it's way too tight, and I have very few clothes to wear it with. I could have spent those $5 on something much better, but in the moment it seemed like an irresistible deal. I have been working on curbing my spending and I make myself really think about how often I would use something before I purchase it, but I still find myself buying clearance items. Oops!
