I guess count me on the list of people who don't listen to each and every note. I'm satisfied with cheap ones. I still get to enjoy music. But I respect the opinion of those who spend on expensive earphones. That's their money, anyway.
I'm perplexed seeing people walking down the street wearing $100 to $400 headphones. I would never spend this amount of money on headphones. Actually, I spend at most $3 on simple headphones at the dollar store. When I bought my basic MP3 player last autumn it came with headphones and they have lasted me since then. I guess I don't like to waste that much money on useless things.
My son has Turtle Beach headphones that were fairly pricey but worth every penny because he does use them ALL THE TIME. I think if you are seriously into music and use headphones on a regular basis than investing in a good pair that will last a while and improve your experience is well worth it.
I always buy cheap headphones and I never notice a different like everybody else. I never pay more than $2 for mines and I never had a problem with them at all. Its better to go with the cheap one if you trying to save money.
I usually buy the cheaper ones. Sometimes it's worth getting the OK ones that last a little longer and sound a little better, but I know people who got headphones from the dollar store and they lasted over a year. In my opinion, it's a waste of money to buy 300 dollar headphones like Beats by Doctor Dre, just to go with the trend and better sound quality, when you can get decent headphones for a dollar. Unless you got a lot of money to spend and really care about the sound quality of the music your listening to. But I have to admit, my friend has Beats and there is a real difference in the sound. It's just not worth the extra 299 dollars.
I'm going with cheap headphones. I don't really get the rave about expensive ones. You stil get to hear sounds right? And if it's about more quality or refined music, you can still find a headphone that is not way too pricey for your tight budget. I think the label only makes the headphones pricey.
I go for the middle of the road, but I never pay more than twenty dollars. It's easy to find a good quality set by reading reviews. Often, an older set that was once priced on the high end will be deeply discounted, just like other electronics. That's where I look first. There are a few brands that I have come to like such as Sony and Skullcandy, so if I'm in a hurry, I'll just choose one of those.
I only choose expensive brand headphones such as Apple. I think their head phones last for a long time and they have great sound quality. In my opinion, I don't think cheap headphones last very long.
I buy head phones like every month, because the wire tears all the time and then I am stuck listening to one side. I went and bought a $20 pair of headphones those things were junk just like the cheap ones. I would never buy beats by DRE, what a waste of money for some earphones.
Well when it comes to earphones I always buy the expensive and high quality ones. Cheap earphones here in my country break after a few uses which will cost me more in the long run when I replace every earphone that breaks. I buy Apple earphones since the quality of music is really great and the quality of the materials are also not that poor.
I normally buy cheap brands. But it really depends on how much money I have in my pocket. If I have some money, I like going for that in-between brand. Really cheap brands usually have a shorter life span and the quality usually sucks. And for me, the really expensive stuff isn't worth the money. I don't need headphones that bad. Plus, I'm not tech savvy, so I wouldn't know which would be worth the expense.
I'm very particular with how my music sounds, like I like the bass emphasized, and I don't really like mp3's that sound "mono" if you know what I mean, so low bitrate mp3's are non existent in my collection, unless they sound decent enough or at least it's 96 kbps. With that said, I buy earphones from Sony, or if they are not available, I settle for Philips. I think that Beats are quite overpriced though and not really practical, so I'd settle for the mid-range earphones. And cheap earphones are definitely a no-no for me. I was given a China made one by my friend and they only lasted 2 months.
I have both; I use expensive ones for use at home and the cheap ones for my travel. I am a big fan of music and I believe that most expensive headphones are worth the money simply because they allow you to enjoy the richness of music. However I don't want to travel with my expensive headphones, I lost one set while traveling and that's the reason I have 2 pairs now.
I've paid up to $250 for a pair of Shure earbuds. I know that sounds insane, but the sound quality is seriously that good on them, that if you are serious about music, you'll be wanting to listen to all your albums all over again with them. You can literally hear all sorts of new sounds and subtleties that you may not have heard or noticed before. The quality of some of these higher end headphones is so good that they actually start to reveal the shortcomings of your computer's sound card (such as background hiss). Thankfully there is a cheap solution to this, as opposed to investing in a higher end sound card. Just pick up a USB to headphone jack adapter, and it will give you crystal clear sound with no hiss. Some of them even come with a volume boost feature built in so you can really crank it up.
I bought some really expensive World of Warcraft headphones once, they just failed about 1 year later, just over the guarantee. Ever since then I have only ever bought cheap ones, they sound just the same IMHO.
Yes i am i really don't care about the headphones as long as they work and i can hear the sound i am good. I usually get mine from the dollar tree i once got some from walmart i think it was they were 15 bucks and they lasted me a week so i decided i wasn't going to waste that much on head phones again so i went to the dollar tree and got some for a dollar and i have had these head phones for a year and they still work perfectly and i haven't had no trouble with them and the sound quality is really good.
