I get most of my freelance work from Facebook actually but inside an office, I think it's not that weird to use Facebook since you can connect to anyone pretty much instantaneously. The only concern I would have is, since Facebook is meant to be for socializing online, you might mix your personal life with your professional life which is not going to be a good idea once things go out of hand.
