Favorite genre of music is probably alternative or pop rock. I like a bit of everything, though. My tastes range from Dave Matthews Band to Lenny Kravitz to Sam Cooke to Coldplay. I like to keep a lot of variety in my playlist. As long as something sounds good and has a lot of artistic integrity I'm going to listen to it.
My favorite genre is jazz music. I started playing jazz saxophone when I was Freshman in high school and I never looked back. From all the greats of Count Basie to Ella Fitzgerald and some of the newer age stuff like Snarky Puppy and Dirty Loops. What I love most about is how expansive and diverse jazz music is. It's never boring and there's always room for new artists to interpret songs from the past in their own way.
