I want to buy a k-drama off eBay but I'm kind of skeptical about the quality of the subtitles. I've been spoiled with Viki and Dramafever and their awesome subtitles. I found that some foreign films don't have great subtitles. Is there a way to know if the official video has good subtitles?

Occasionally I like a good foreign history film. I did like Life is Beautiful which was a foreign comedy and City of God, a Brazillian film. Perhaps I would like even more non-American films if I was exposed to them. Does anyone have any recommendations?
