I own 2 DSLR cameras and one small point-and-shoot digital camera.

I've been noticing an increase in the picture quality of smaller digital cameras.

A lot of the new digital cameras are also able to switch lenses.

Do you think full body cameras are losing ground to all the new small digital cameras?

When choosing between a DSLR and a full body camera, it really depends on the needs of the user. If a person is a photography enthusiast, and wants to take professional quality photos, I would recommend him to go for a DSLR. And if a person is not much of a photography enthusiast and is not interested in lugging around a bigger device, I would recommend him to use a Point and Shoot camera. And these days the point and shoot cameras are becoming more and more advanced. It has got to the point where some of the new launches are directly competing against DSLRs.
