I have heard a lot of bad things about Godaddy and I just cannot click away from their site fast enough. Also, they supported many acts in order to control the internet, at least that is what I heard before they withdrew support. Anyway, Hostgator offers a good and green service.

A wealth of information here, most of it pointing people away from Godaddy, which has catchy ads to entice you, but apparently cannot effectively deliver reliable goods. Thanks.

I don't know about that. I mean, I am not a huge fan a fan of GoDaddy and I hate how they always try to upsell me, but, I have had no issues with their hosting or with domain registration.
