I would prefer to have gold jewelry around because it's worth more. I wouldn't wear it because it's fashionable. I think most people wear it because of its value. If it were for appearance, any fake gold or silver would do but for me, I prefer gold because of its higher value. Selling it would be my priority.
I'm a gold addict (white or rose gold). My whole family is, it's what we grew up with and got used to.
I look at jewelry as a kind of investment. In fact, it is one good investment according to a friend who is a financial adviser. With silver, the value is not much although it can also be considered a treasure. But gold is gold and it is the standard pecuniary measure of wealth. So when we buy jewelry, it is always gold no matter how many carats. It is the resale value that I am looking at when we buy gold.
It's hard for me to say which one I wear more, because my jewelry tends to be HUGE and COLORFUL. Mostly bracelets and rings. I don't wear necklaces, to me, they just feel like they get in the way and keep getting hooked onto things, and I don't wear earrings because my ears were never pierced and you can't see earrings on me anyway because my hair is long and curly and covers my ears. I wear a lot of "tropical-looking" jewelry, so underneath all the colors and designs, I guess I see silver....more than gold. Most of the time, it's just a white string, and then the fancy beads and shells running though it. But that's just the base to hold the bracelet together (I'm checking right now.) I see silver. But here's an example of what kinds of bracelets I wear and you'll see why I hardly ever notice if they are silver or gold. This one has the classic white string base. (Pic below). **But if given a choice, I would choose silver, like you. Silver goes with almost everything, gold can be tricky.
My wife goes with the gold jewelry and I prefer the silvery made bracelets, ring. I love silver than gold. I appreciate the glittering of silver jewelries than that of the gold. As to its cost, silver made pieces of jewelries are low compared to the gold ones.
I don't always wear accessories especially jewelries but I do have some sets of silvers and I only wear them every time I go out or in some special events and occasions. I like silver and white gold more than gold, although gold is more pricey and classy. I prefer silver because I believe it can be paired with anything, and you can wear it in casual events without looking too much bonggacious (extravagant)
The alternative of wearing silver or gold is about what's ideal for the event, outfit, and inclination. Gold adornments has a tendency to be more downplayed, more sensitive, and more refined. Gold is the correct material for a fragile accessory, a controlled ring, or a dainty clasp. Numerous gem specialists match their best gemstones with either gold or platinum, mirroring the inherent estimation of each.
Jewelry for me is an investment. Therefore, I only buy jewelry made from precious metals and stones. In the battle of gold and silver jewelry, I will always go for gold. Gold is expensive than silver, and buying gold jewelry is an investment. In the rainy days, when you need money, you can easily convert gold jewelry into cash.
Me too I like both, but gravitate to gold more than silver. This Christmas I treated myself to 3 new costume jewelry that was on sale at amazon. The shipping was great only a dollar so I got them for such a good price. They all are crystal costume jewelry and all look like silver. I love them! The price was right and now I have these new pieces so different. I just had to have it!
I like both too. I still gravitate more towards gold than silver. If the price is right I'll buy it. I love jewelry. When there is a sale on when I go shopping at jewelry stores I'll stop by and check prices and pieces. If I see something I want I'll think about it these days rather than just buy it though.
I've always liked both and mixing them together with any outfit looks good. I remember there was a time when people only wore silver since it was trending and got made fun of when I wore gold but I always like wearing what I feel good in not what everyone is wearing.
I find that both can have their pros and cons, but more than anything, it all depends on the one who is going to be wearing it in the final run. This is all that matters when it comes to this: the wearer's opinion. Do they look better in gold or silver, and which do they prefer to wear? It is a matter of opinion....
I'm not keen on any of them, but do wear gold jewelry on an occasional basis. I do not see them a means of investment either as the gold market is already inflated and there's little chance to get a good return in future. However, we do need gold for some traditional purposes and one can buy some for such future needs.
Well, I can honestly say that I do own a piece of either, and I kind of still think that it is strange and that I might be in the minority here. It just seems that some people have at least something handed down or obtained somehow, but oh well.
I love both! I have an equal number of silver and gold jewelry in my closet. They mesh perfectly with my outfits and complement my style.
I think the two options are very beautiful and always combine with many things, but ends up being a matter of personal taste (and of money too, of course). The amount of jewelry is quite diverse, and everything will depend solely on the person who will want to use it.
Well I may go for silver not because it maybe less expensive but that I consider such to be good color for man. I think that very attractive items like gold jewelry should be for women. They are more interested in beauty and fashion. And also they want to be attractive and spend good time working on that.
I like both, but for guys, silver would be more appropriate, because gold seems like it's more suitable for the ladies, like imagine a silver earring or necklace being worn by a girl, don't you think that it just looks plain? Gold looks a lot much better in my opinion.
Both Sterling Silver and Gold are considered fine jewelry. They are both great materials for fine jewelry, depends on each person's taste, mixing both looks great, it all depends on what you want to wear it with and how it was styled and designed.
I don't wear so much jewelry but I like both. I find silver much more mild a appealing. I think it fits my skin and I feel it goes with any out fit. My mother loves gold too. She says it never goes out of style. Infact where I come from, Gold is a treasure and if you don't have it then you are out of style.
