I have learned a very important lesson about buying steam cleansers: You get what you pay for. I bought a HAAN steam cleaner when they were $150, now the sell for $180. I thought I was getting a great deal. However, 2 months after the warranty broke out, it broke. The button that turns it on would not stay down. I tried to duck tape it down, a no go. My friend then rewired it so that it would stay on all the time. It works, but not as good as it used to. I should have just bought a good one, which starts around $300 in the first place!
I got one for a little less than you did and the same thing happened! I threw it out and got an h2o mop.
