I just went hard drive shopping yesterday and they are still so expensive. In the end, I came home empty handed. Ever since the flood with Thailand a couple of years ago which caused HDD prices to soar, it never came back down. Anyone knows of any store be it online or walk in that offers reasonable price for HDDs?

You can get a terabyte HDD for $50 or so from Amazon, and I consider that fairly reasonable. I'm used to the prices on hard drives, whether internal or external, and I'm okay with paying for them. You could definitely get a lesser brand or even a knockoff brand for slightly cheaper, through eBay or even possibly Amazon. I like going with the more high-end companies for HDDs, though, because they actually seem to make a more reliable product. I only occasionally purchase HDDs larger than 1TB, though.
