Sadly my Grandpa died a couple months ago. I'm trying to figure out a way to transfer some of his old 8mm footage. There is a Groupon for film transfer onto DVD or USB right now at 78% off that has 81% of their clients satisfied. Has anyone ever done this sort of service before? I wonder if it is a big risk to send them your old films. What if they get lost in the mail? Although never doing anything with them doesn't seem right either. Here is the link if anyone else wants to try it:

I have not done this type of video transfer. However, if I was you I will never send the film in mail to the one who does this kind of work. I will either try to find someone in my town who does this kind of work or will travel to the town where this kind of video transfer is done. You say 81 percent clients are satisfied, what it you will become of 19 percent unsatisfied clients.
