I know some people who swear by it. However, I have heard that people had negative reactions when using the fancy versions like pomegranate. It's not for people with sensitive scalps.
I bought and tried it hoping it would help my damaged hair. I likewise wasn't satisfied at all. My hair was still dirty and didn't feel clean at all. It wasn't shiney like the commercial instead I felt my roots were backed up with dirty. Within 2 days I went back to washing my hair normally. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for shiney healthy hair take a few biotin supplements.
I used to be an avid user of WEN. When I was going through health issues and losing massive amounts of hair, WEN was the only product that kept the hair on my head. It was also really moisturizing and made my hair feel way better than other products did. Once my health got better though, I just slowly stopped using it for some reason. Maybe I'll revisit an old friend one day. Sally Beauty has knockoff WEN, but to me, it doesn't compare and the ingredients list isn't all that impressive.
I have tried the wen and I was so disapointed because it made my head tingle and did not do what it said it should.
I have curly hair and when I was using Wen it was the best my hair has ever looked and felt. I love the stuff, but it's so expensive I can only buy it like once a year. The knockoff from Sally beauty is quite good as well, not as good as the original, but way cheaper. I would freely recommend both products to anyone with hair like mine.
My girlfriend bought this stuff and I tried it. I wasn't all that impressed. I understand the concept of not having chemicals that strip your hair, but really, I put other chemicals on my hair anyway, like dye and styling products. I think it's just important to find what works for your type of hair and what you want it to do. For instance, when I want my hair straight, I use a smoothing shampoo and my hair is much more receptive to the straightening iron.
I never purchased the product, but my sister did and she loved the product. However, she didn't love the product enough to continue paying that expensive price tag.
I've seen the range around and really like the packaging, and I'm the sort of person who likes to jump on the bandwagon and try all the fancy products on the market. However, my hair type is something of a special case, and needs specialised products to tame the frizz and overall coarseness. So I haven't bothered with Wen hair products because I doubt they're geared towards my type of hair
I've seen the ad here and there but never really paid attention to it. I haven't tried that product. Most ads really exaggerate of the end effects of their products as their sales tactic, so that's why sometimes i only get the product if it's on sale that way, it won't be as bad if i'd go for it in it's regular sales price and the result is a big disappointment.
have often felt that I was missing something good whenever I watched Wen commercials. I never could afford the product so I never ordered it. Thank you for all of the above posts. I don't feel so bad now.
I tried it and it made my hair brittle almost. It just wasn't what I thought it was going to be. A friend of mine actually uses it on the regular basis and loves it, but her hair really doesn't look healthy and as shiny as it did when she was using other products. I think it sounds like good stuff, but it's got to be used on the right hair type for it to give the results that are in the advertisements.
I agree with many of the previous posters. It's not worth the money. I will say, I love the "no-poo" concept that a lot of curly hair communities recommend but you have to ease into it to avoid excessive grease. Wen doesn't allow for that! You just dive right in and start using it, and it doesn't give your hair any time to adjust to the new routine at all. It left my normally dry hair greasy and heavy with build-up. It's definitely sensationalized and there are much better alternatives out there for a smaller price tag.
My mother has a subscription for Wen, and I that the company is legit. I've noticed that the products actually do smell very nice! I also really adore that some of their products are a shampoo and conditioner in one, because it saves time and effort. All the same, I don't like to use Wen that often, as my boyfriend's father works at L'oreal and is able to get me very expensive shampoos, hair treatments, conditioners, etc. for free. Also, I rarely use Wen simply because it is costly and would rather have my mom benefit from it. My mother tends to use Wen on our cat. I'm not sure how Wen would work on you all personally, I do have to say that my cat's coat is nice, soft, shiny, and fluffy afterwards, and also smells great! My mom also raves about the product. I honestly think that the quality is there; I just don't know if I'd buy ANY shampoo for that much money, even if the quality is there.
Well I was reading through the posts and trying to figure out what the special need was that some of them mentioned, and I could really deduce anything from what I read. Is this for sensitive scalps? Is it for really dull hair? I am not, but needless to say I have not tried it personally, but it sounds like it is an expensive one, so I would probably be okay looking for other alternatives. Thanks for sharing.
