I like to start my outside decorating before Thanksgiving. I think that it's a kickstart for the holiday season. Just seeing it when I pull up to The House just gets me all giggly. I'm excited now just thinking about what my theme is going to be this year. I think I'm going to start decorating sooner this year. I'm a year older and it gets too cold to be hanging up the lights outside.
My birthday is the first of December so I always decorate my tree the weekend of thanksgiving. Usually black friday night when my mother and I get home from shopping. This year I get to share the experience with my fiance and my daughter -- as it will be our first official Christmas as a family.
