I have tried a couple of brands, though I can only remember Melona. I think it tastes a little bit better than the local ice cream brands we have here in our country. Probably because it's creamier and softer. Plus the price is not that bad. We live a couple of blocks away from several Korean and Asian grocery stores and restaurants too. So it's really easy for us to buy if we ever crave for one.
I haven't had it either, but I would certainly like to try sometime. I'm curious, was it reasonably sweet? The reason I ask is because I had the extreme pleasure of being stationed in Korea for 15 months and one of the myriad of differences was what they thought of as a desert wasn't that sweet. I dearly love Korean food and to this day just the memories of meals down in the local village are enough to make me start to salivate. But the "sweets" just simply were not. So was this ice cream a regularly stocked item? I would really like to try some!
