What kind of harddrives are currently compatible with the PS4? I know that conventional 2.5" laptop harddrive works but I'm looking for something better like maybe SSD or a Hybrid Drive. Which brands work with the PS4?

Honestly, almost any 2.5 or Serial ATA drive will work just fine. But since you asked for which brand would work best, I'd go with any seagate drive (that's what I use). I bought a seagate because all my drives from there worked and never broke down once. That goes for both internal and external drives from them.

I will say avoid Western Digital if possible. Their stuff seems to break down after awhile from my own experience owning their drives. Sure they may be cheaper, but obviously there's a reason for that.

    So yeah, go Seagate
