There's an ancient but common theory and saying, that beauty knows no pain, but is this true?

Several persons have chosen to undergo certain methods of "beautification" that have not only taken away the length and breadth of their true, natural beauty, but which have led them to experience a lot of personal, physical and emotional pain, due either to the pain of the process that took them through to their "New Look", or due to not-so-favorable "look" that they now have, which is permanent.

On the other hand, there are some procedures which undeniably work, and produce results that would have to make even "the most seasoned eye" look twice when it comes to telling if you didn't always "naturally look that way".

Well, what's your perspective on this?

Do you think that, in some cases, it's okay to "compromise" one's health, for a greater good?

    Let me know!
