In the last months my water heater has been turning off at night. It's a rather old water heater, but it's been working fine apart from this issue. What I do in the morning is just turn it back up again, do you think I just should replace it or is this normal?

If you are having problems with not having enough hot water in the morning definitely call someone to look at it. You might need a new switch. It is not normal as far as I know for any appliance to shut itself off and have to be manually turned back on like that.

The problem is not that I don't have enough hot water (even though the water pressure is really low, but I feel that nothing can be done about that), the issue is that when I wake up the flame is not there and I need to put it back, I don't know how it turn off alone...
