I was at Fleet Feet the other day looking for a good pair of aerobics/walking shoes, and the salesperson recommended a newer brand called Hoka One One. I'd never heard of them and they looked kind of funky (mine are a two tone grape purple). But after trying them on, I really liked them. They have a great deal of cushioning and are light weight, so they're really comfortable. The sole kind of wedges up at the back, instead of being square like most exercise shoes, so it took a little to get used to, but it seems to add a little spring when walking and running. Overall, I highly recommend them.
