Do you check your rates periodically to make sure you are getting a good deal? when I refinanced I didn't realize how much I was paying with Allstate. I was able to get much better rates with Travelers, a subsidiary of Geico. I just was sent something by email in terms of checking rates for homeowners insurance, I know I am getting a great rate with Travelers, but it doesn't hurt to check!

Oh for sure I do and would agree that shopping around for the best deals each year - before even thinking of renewing any kind of insurance policy with the same insurer - is the smart thing to do.

Especially as by not doing that - not only do you stand the chance of paying way more than you actually need to - but also paying over the odds for what can sometimes be an inadequate policy - particularly as - more often than not - its not just the price of the policy that increases dramatically each year - but also the terms of the policy that change too.
