I used to spend a lot of money dry cleaning my clothes. However, after growing weary of this process as well as the poor customer service I received at certain establishments, I began changing my ways. Now, I almost NEVER go to the dry cleaners. The biggest change for me was paying attention to the cleaning instructions for the clothing I buy. Now, I try really hard to purchase items that only require machine or hand wash. I also buy Woolite for delicate attire. Best thing ever. . .
To save money on dry cleaning I only send items to the dry cleaner that are dry clean only. Any article of clothing that can be hand washed at home or run on the delicate cycle does not go to the dry cleaner. I also take advantage of the specials dry cleaners have, mine has 20% off your $50 bill if you bring your clothes in on Wednesday so I just wait to drop off until Wednesday so I can save at least $10.
