Do you do all your groceries at one store for all your weekly food shopping? I go to about 3 different stores for my groceries. I go to Aldi, Walmart and the Supermarket for my meat. I buy Walmart things that are on sale plus if I have coupons. The are certain products I will get at Aldi for their price. I like my meat fresh So I have a local supermarket I will get all my meat from. Just wondering what your shopping habit are?
I used to get a weekly newspaper with the local grocery store ads. I would go to three of them and pick up just the sale items at each one. I moved last fall and no longer get the ads, so I usually just go to Walmart now. Every once in awhile I will go to another local store chain because they have a few items that Walmart doesn't carry.
I get most of my groceries from Wal-Mart, but purchase my meat from the local butcher shop and get a few sale items at the local grocery store.
I would say we go to about 3 stores for groceries. There is a special cheese store nearby to us that happens to have good prices too, so we go there for our dairy products. We also go to a farmers market for fresh fruit and vegetables. Then we go to a regular supermarket for canned goods or whatever else we need.
On a regular basis, I go to about four different stores for all of my shopping needs. Some of the stores that I like to shop at only have private label foods, but there are still major brands that I enjoy eating, so I would have to go to another store for that. Each store that I regularly go to has their own particular need that they fill.
Once a week during weekend at a larger supermarket, followed by top-ups during the week for fresh vegetable and fruit at Aldi. Certain condiments and vegan items require shopping at a third and fourth store, occasionally.
Majority of my groceries will be done at one store, but for small purchases, like regular soy or Oreo cookies, I'll go to the local dollar store. The grocery store we go to has the cheapest items in the city and is hardly beaten by other grocery chains. If that happens, which is quite rare, then I'll go to that other store for the items I always buy.
I do most of my grocery shopping at the local grocery store. I prefer to get my meat from the meat market, though, even though it's available at the grocery store. Then, every so often, I'll need one or two items for which I have to go to a specialty health food store. That's pretty much it, though.
I buy most of my groceries at Walmart, the buy one get one free sale items at Publix supermarket, and occasionally clearance items at CVS Pharmacy. I use coupons at all 3 places. If I was to buy everything in one place, I would end up overpaying for certain items, so I split up my shopping to get the best deal that each place offers. I walk to all the stores so gas prices are not a factor and all these stores are within a 1.5 mile radius of my house.
When I lived all of them, I used to go to the grocery store for meats and dairy, Trader Joes for frozen goods, and the farmers market for vegetables and herbs. I used to live by a Whole Foods as well, but their prices are insane. Their store branded products are reasonable and of good quality though. I've tried buy meats at Walmart and another discount store in my area called Marc's, but I've had several bad experiences where I got home and opened the package and it had a horrible sulphur smell - and had to return it. I heard that some places put some kind of gas in the package like nitrogen, to help keep it's color and that the resulting smell is a normal occurrence, but I'm not taking any chances if it's contaminated or something.
If you mean online stores, I shop in a lot of them, but mostly on eBay lately. I've been buying equipment for my guitar and there are stores that have amazingly good prices.
I do about 75% of my shopping at Aldi's. Then I get meats, some of the produce, and odds and ends with coupons at Kroger's. Beyond that, there's a tiny percentage of shopping done at random places like Walmart or Dollar General when I realize I'm out of something and need to grab it quick...those stores are closer, so I pick them up there.
I do around 50% of my shopping at Aldi or LIDL, and the rest from a couple of other supermarkets. I tend to buy fresh produce from the local street markets. One of the supermarkets I - Consum - use has a great loyalty scheme, where you get points which are converted to monthly 'cheques' which can be used against your grocery bill. As well as that, they also provide incentives to buy certain products, such as giving an extra 25 cents on your monthly cheque for buying something that costs 1.50. It all adds up, and next to LIDL and Aldi, they're the cheapest supermarket.
Gosh, I probably regularly go to at least 6 stores, some of which are drugstores. Sometimes they can have good deals on food too. A couple of the grocery stores I go to are simply because they are close by. When I really want to go grocery shopping, I have to drive 10 or 20 miles, so I make sure I hit all the stores I want in order to be efficient with gasoline expenditures..
I go to two to four different stores. it depends on the sale ads. I go to Hy-vee depending on what is on sale and what coupons I have to go with the sales. Hy-vee is conveniently across the street. I go to Aldi once a month to load up on some of thier snacks and frozen stuff. You can also find things at Aldi that isn't at the regular grocery store. I go to Walmart for other things than groceries unless I run across a great buy. Sometimes not often I will go to Fareway for their meat.
I shop at three stores Target, Safeway, and Costco. Those are the only stores that I need are those three. I've tried to shop at Walmart, but I don't like the long lines, and poor customer service. Safeway is a great alternative to Walmart, but their prices are a bit higher. There aren't as many people that shop there that's why. Target is my personal favorite store to shop at because they have everything I want. If they don't have it I'll stop by the other two stores and pick it up.
