I'm 27, female, and paying about $100/month not counting installment fees. That seems kind of high considering I've never been in an accident and have only had 2 claims (small at that, just side windows broken) since I started four years ago. How much are you guys paying and what is your history like?
When it comes up for renewal in April I'm expecting mine will cost me £700. I'm a 21 year old male with a collision on my record, although I have a clean license. If you pay monthly it will cost significantly more. I would actually suggest taking out a bank loan and repaying that as the repayments will almost certainly be less.
My auto insurance costs me $150 per month. This price is for full coverage (Liability, Col, Comp, MP, Towing, Rental). The price could be lower if I cut back on some of these features, but I am afraid to.
I guess mine's not too far off then. My monthly installment fee is $5. How much is it there in England? I might be able to find a loan for 5%, but the extra work of doing the loan wouldn't really help me. I guess I'm not too far out of line! I have full coverage minus Towing and Rental. I'm with Progressive though, so I get full glass coverage (which is great for living in a city).
Insurance is important specially on unexpected things that might happen. To renew my auto insurance, I just paid $800.
I'm driving a ten year old car and the amount I paid last year was around $100. This coming March, I'll be renewing my insurance again and I'm going to be paying even less because I planning to reduce the sum insured. Don't really need to insure such a large sum for such an old car.
I pay around 150€-200€ each year, it depends whether I have to use a tow truck, etc each year. I used to pay 150€ every six months, before I switched companies
I am in Germany so I am using a company called HUK 24 which is a really good and cheapest company here. I paid 1200 Euros for a whole year. I own a Volkswagen Polo 1997. I will pay less after a year when I reach 21 years old because the older you are the less you pay for car insurance!
In my country, I`m paying 50EURO for a regular car insurance, as a clean driver (no accidents). Unfortunately, this affordable assurance won`t cover the costs of a damage produced by me, just the repairs due to external causes
I have good coverage from Progressive, on a car and an SUV for about 80 dollars a month. I am female and have a great record. So many men make fun of women drivers, BUT there is a reason we get better rates. We drive safer and have less claims on average...so there you go guys, no one is buying that we drive worse.
80 dollars per month is a lot justusforus, maybe it's a lot of difference from country to country. I am paying around 180€ per year including windows breaking, I think it's a fairly cheap insurance considering there are equivalent ones that cost nearly 300€ per year.
Insurance for younger people are just so expensive that I literally did not drive until I was 25 (already passed by driving test years ago as well). I'm in my mid 30s now and paying around £200 a year for a fully comprehensive cover.
We pay $700 every six months for full coverage on TWO cars (liability, collision, roadside assistance and towing). My husband and I are both in our 30s and have both claimed one accident in the last 9 years. We insure a mini-van and a Hyundai Elantra. We have USAA. You can't really beat their prices.
My husband and I pay $703 every six months for a full-coverage policy on our CRV and basic on our old Escort. He's had two incidences on his record, one he hit deer and one was a speeding ticket. I have a clean record. I know that if we pay monthly, it would be $174 a month, so we save a ton by paying the six months up front. We're 24 and 23.
My wife and I pay $93 per month with full coverage on one vehicle. I've gotten a speeding ticket in the last two years and we are 34 and 35. We drive an Accord and an Odyssey, but my work is only 5 miles away and my wife is stay at home.
I am currently paying way too much for my automobile insurance. If you are stopped for any reason by policce one of the things they ask for is car insurance. If you cannot provide prove of your insurance you will recieve a ticket. If this is one of the things needed in order to drive it should not be an option not to have it. It should be included in your car payment or loan. I think this is one of many ways you are forced to pay expensive rates for something that should be included on one of your existing bills. Don't get me wrong I am not saying there is no need for car insurance all together. There are millions of wreckless drivers as well as drunk drivers who ruin lives and cost others rates to go up. The only thing I am saying is insurance should not be sky rocketed because of other wreckless driving people. And car insurance should be mandatorily placed on a pre-existing bill.
Hmmm, I have a new Suzuki Swift, I'm 21 and my auto insurance company charged me 3000USD for insurance for the year, very expensive, I know! I've been driving for two years and have never met in an accident which is the fault of mine. I have been in collisions and I did not claim except for one time where iI started and stopped,I do not know why, I know I'm a very good driver because I have succesfully avoided accidents on the road-which was created by older drivers! Also, in all the collisions I've experienced; an older driver was the principal agent responsible :-/ so then, why charge young people so much for insurance when I think that they are generally more careful drivers.
