We have a small vegetable garden where we grow vegetables for our own consumption. This year, as always, we planted about 50 tomato plants. The plants grew wonderfully, but then the rain came. The summer was and still is real cold and rainy. That is probably why all of our tomato plants became moldy. We tried to save the plants by cutting off the moldy leaves, but we were too late. After a few days, the mold spread and we had no other option but to throw away all the plants. What could we do to protect our tomatoes from getting the tomato leaf mold?
