This is for the homesteaders out there who wanted to raise their own chickens and eggs on their backyards and wanted to save money. This multi purpose heritage chicken breed is awesome because they thrive from neglect! You don't need to buy feeds, vitamins and other stuff, Just leave them alone in your backyard and their population will grow. These chickens are very resourceful to forage their own food and they were bred out of survivors by the vikings, giving them tough immunity from extreme climate and diseases. You can raise them for both meat and eggs. They are able to eat grass so you may not need to mawn your lawn. They will also eat everything you give them like leftovers. People homestead to save money and these low maintenance chickens are great for homesteaders.
