So for my birthday I'm going to Barcelona. Never been there before but wondered if you had any good tips when it comes down to money and buying stuff abroad :)

Only going for a couple of nights but want to make my money stretch as far as possible!

My friends went a few years ago and said they rented a car and were able to see more in a shorter period of time. We have friend there right now with their parents who are not natives of Europe nor are they fluent in Spanish and they found the bus terminal from the airport very easy to travel on. It will take you right to the city center. There is something called a T10 travel card that is good for 10 trips on public transport, then you don't have to worry about carrying a lot of money. This will save you up to 50% as opposed to buying your trips separately. Like Paris, the first Sunday of each month some Museums offer free admission. The Picasso Museum would be my personal choice.
