I've always wondered what truffles tasted like. They aren't available here, nor do I think many of our restaurants would utilize it if it were. I've seen it being used a lot on food shows like Masterchef, though, and I've always been curious as to what dimension this ingredient adds to a certain dish. I always imagined it would taste nutty, from the looks of it, but mostly, I would just like to finally get to try it so I can stop guessing. Anyone here who has tried truffles? What ingredients have you seen on TV or heard from friends that you are wanting to try and taste?
