I agree! I live the the tri-state area and I think it's extremely hard. A lot of stores like stop and shop get suspicious of you are using numerous and the cashiers will call a manger over. I've seen it done at places like cvs however it's for stuff I neither want nor would use so for me it's not worth it. I definitely use coupons but I think it's very hard to be an extreme couponer in NY.
There are zero stores in my area that double coupons. The last of the grocery stores to do so (Kroger), stopped doubling coupons a few years ago. I still use coupons while grocery shopping, however, the days of getting free or nearly free groceries with coupons are over in my area. It is unfortunate that stores are not willing to cooperate with extreme coupon people anymore. If there was a store in my area that doubled coupons, I would definitely do a lot of my family's grocery shopping there!
