It's fine in moderation. Your body isn't going to shut down after a cheeseburger once a month. However, if it becomes excessive, fast food can become extremely dangerous to one's health. For one thing, there's obesity. Growth of fast food franchises has caused a large spike in obesity levels. Home cooking is a much better alternative, but if you just don't have the time to cook every now and then, a fast food meal won't kill you.
If you have little to no time to cook, I suggest investing in a crock-pot or another slow cooker. Just search up some recipes, buy the ingredients, then throw the food in there. That's it. Easy, delicious, and healthy meals in a snap. Also, it could be helpful to cook large meals at the beginning of the week so that you can portion it throughout the week.

The difference is in the pesticides right? I hate the idea of the chemicals in the food but without the pesticides you'd be eating bugs I would think and have to worry about all kinds of diseases contracted from the bugs. Even if you wouldn't have to worry about diseases the thought of a bug being in my food makes me feel sick. It's right up there with eating a hot dog.

Everything taken excessively is bad. Fast food isn't an exception. Just like eating a lot of meat that you think it's safe might affect your health a lot, fast food goes by the same principle. Can you be always sure that those raw fruit you buy from your local convenience store weren't treated with dubious substances to maintain their freshness? Don't be that oblivious.

What's oblivious is not knowing what's in your food and what the food you do choose to eat is doing to you. I know where my food comes from, so I know the process it goes through. Sometimes you take the chance because it's getting harder and harder to eat without just growing it yourself, which I hope to do some day soon. Being a purist isn't my goal, I now just prefer natural foods and the highly processed stuff tastes terrible to me. Because I cared enough to push through and become healthy. Oblivious is throwing your health up in the air and not caring, for just a moment on the taste buds. For every. single. meal.

Fast food is usually oily and unhealthy, so you should not eat it everyday. I think that it's ok to eat them once in a while. There are exposes too where toxic chemicals are being added in burger patties to prolong shelf life, so you might want to also look into that.

I think they are bad for you but not really that much worse than most other packaged food that also necessitate chemicals for preservation. Just as those shouldn't be used as a regular source of meals, so is fast food, and on that idea, I think it's just as healthy as it should be. If you eat fast food once or twice a month then it shouldn't cause that much of a problem, as I don't think it's really as fatty as the documentaries make it out to be, since most other restaurants probably have dishes just as oily and fatty, so it is the chemicals and processing that will probably get you in the end. I think whatever people think they are saving now off of buying fast food everyday, they will probably have to pay in hospital bills later on anyway, so it's probably much better to just eat healthily even if it turns out to be a bit more expensive and possibly a bit more inconvenient at present.
