Reading my last response, it looks like I referred to your sister's issue as taking care of health. Just wanted to clarify, because that's obviously the opposite end of the spectrum from eating crap every day. The happy medium is being informed and eating for health. All we can do is our best.. but that's my problem with these food talks.. nobody is. Which is their perogative.. but they need to own it lol, uninformed excuses just make for long conversations lol.
It is true that there is a higher risk of toxins in the egg if it is uncooked. I have eaten a lot of raw eggs, though, and never got sick. Maybe I am just lucky, but there is a lot nutrition in a raw egg. Obviously, if you are pregnant or have an immune disorder then you should probably not try this. When you think about it, eating an over easy egg is still eating a partially raw egg.
