I am not a brand-conscious shopper for most foods. I just get whatever is on sale or cheapest. Some people are very loyal to a brand, or hate a brand. Is there a particular brand of food that you just will not buy? Why?
I am not brand faithful at all. I buy what suits me. I do ingredient lists though and will not buy a product if it has genetically modified foods in it. So any brand connected to Monsanto will switch me off immediately.
Same here, I don't think I really have a particular food brand that I dislike although there are brands that I really like especially for coffee. I like Folger's but it doesn't mean I dislike the other brands.
I wouldn't say there's a food brand that I hate, but I do find some of the items in the Heinz product range very disappointing. Their baked beans are too sweet and the sauce is too runny, and their canned vegetable soup tastes of artificial flavourings and not much else. As if that wasn't bad enough, the peas in the soup are usually rock hard.
I don't like Coke, Sprite and Toblerone, so you won't see me buying those products at all. I simply just don't like how they taste.
I'm not a fan of Campbell's products. So many of their soups (if not all of them) are loaded to the brim with MSG. I don't have any kind of bad reactions to MSG or anything, I just don't care for what it does to the flavor of foods when too much of it is added. I can't get the taste of what I ate out of my mouth for hours, no matter how many times I brush my teeth and gargle. I'm generally more faithful to certain brands though. For example there is a certain brand of San Marzano tomatoes I really like (in fact I think the brand name itself *is* "San Marzano Tomatoes", even though they're not actually grown in Italy). Some of Whole Foods own brand of products are pretty good too, and surprisingly Aldi's too.
Up here in Canada, I cannot stand the no-name brand stuff for Metro. I always buy no-name stuff from No Frills, but the Metro stuff looks awful and is always more expensive than its competitors.
Here in the UK there is a food product on sale calledLog In and the company that sells it is called Mr Brains. I'm definitely not touching them now!
Not really i just do the same buy whatever is on sale or the cheapest it all taste the same to me i don't really go off brands i just on what saves money.
I can't think of any brands I don't like. But there were some hot dogs at Walmart that I refused to try because they looked scary to me. They were called FUD and they were a sickly grayish pink color. And they cost 79 cents. I think other people were scared by FUD hot dogs because Walmart stopped selling them recently.
Either that or they made people sick, from the way you describe them I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few reports of food poisoning.
There hasn't been a food brand I dislike but there have been food brands that I naturally just tend to stay away from. I don't buy very cheap brands so when I see a cheap brand to begin with go on sale I start to think why no one is buying it. Therefore I don't ever buy anything cheap because my paranoia kicks in! haha
