Do recruiters and company sites get paid a commission if they meet a certain number of people who apply for their company? It seems they bring in a lot of people to interview and I suddenly wonder if they get commission or something for recruiting a certain number of people or do they set a limit?

Companies don't get commissions for hiring people, no one would pay them to do so. The only reason to bring a lot of people to an interview is so they have a big choice on who to occupy.
