Macy's

    I bought something in macy's and then I saw the same item in other store but the price was half of what I paid.

    Does it happen to anybody here too?

    We have had this happen more than once but it has been the other way around. We have bought items at different stores, only to see them at Macy's for a heck of a lot more. In most cases, it has been teen clothing that we have had this happen with. Now that my kids are older, I don't go to Macy's much anymore but I am not surprised there are still price differences.

    I don't have a macy's in my town but I do know by online that they are quite expensive and u can usually find the same things else where a lot cheaper.

    Yes, that's been my experience most of the time as well...even on their sale prices you can generally find it elsewhere for a much better price comparatively.

    You should always do your 'research' before buying an item. When you impulse buy, you will typically never get the best price.

    I love everything Macy's has too offer. However I do hate their prices. Other than that, they have all of my favorite brand names and etc.

    I love Macy's too, but I also do some comparative shopping online. Amazon sells a lot of the same merchandise as Macy's. A couple of years ago I found the exact same coat on Amazon for $50 less. I usually don't buy clothes online, but I felt comfortable since I had already tried on the coat.

    Even the Macy's online website is cheaper than the stores.
