    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I rent currently and hate it. After renting for 7+ years, it's getting really old. I hate dealing with a landlord and paying rent every month on something that will never belong to me.

We live in the country, and I'm interested in purchasing a bit of acreage so that we can start raising cows and chickens and such. Something like 25-50 acres would be ideal.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I won't be ready for at least a year; I'm working on my credit a bit now.

Are there any first-time homebuyer plans that will allow me to purchase a home and acreage? Or, could I purchase the acreage and borrow the amount to build a house or purchase a mobile home? I actually don't mind the idea of a mobile home at first; then, when we start making money from our farm and are a bit more stable, I can build my dream house on my property.

    Any thoughts or ideas?
