Google recently announced that it would no longer stock the Google Play Store with Nexus 5 smartphones after its current stock runs out. It would seem that production of the Nexus 5 is coming to a close, even though the smartphone continues to sell well. It's rocking a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, so it's still a very relevant and advanced device. Google seems to be pushing toward sales of the Nexus 6 by phasing out the Nexus 5. You'll still be able to find used handsets all over the place, but stocks of new Nexus 5 devices will start to run out sooner or later.
