This rice dispenser of ours has a sentimental value since I bought it when we were hard up. I actually took out a loan to be able to buy it. My reason? It is cheaper to buy rice in a sack than buying on a per kilo basis. The 25-kilo sack saves me at around $1. Think of the money I had saved with that rice dispenser that I purchased in 1995. However, the downside of buying a sack of rice is the weight that I have to carry. But that's beside the point when talking of savings.
