I know this is old technology, but it's still awesome! The Palm IIIxe holds 8x the memory of the Palm IIIe, so that's why I chose it as my second Palm device. You can grab them on eBay right now for about $6 USD, and if you get a keyboard for it, about $20 USD, you have a mobile word processing machine, daily organizer, email client, remote control, address book, memo pad, calculator, and much more, right in your hand. The beauty of the Palm III is that it runs on 2 AAA batteries, so if you just carry a charger and a few rechargeable batteries around with you, you're good to go for a long time. You can sync epub and text books to your Palm from the computer with Hotsync, and sync all the data on your device back to your computer for backup. I really wish they would make more devices like this but now they include the battery inside the casing in most new small devices and you can't swap it without breaking the device. Anyway, if you need anything like this, check them out on Ebay!
