I received this e-mail on my Paypal address today:

Treat yourself on us! Get $15 off your next purchase on Ebay.com.
Simply enter CLACEX15 during PayPal checkout.

    email_cupones_ebay_clac-06.

These are the terms and conditions:

Receive a $15 USD coupon code for an eBay purchase (the "Offer").

To be eligible for the Offer you have to: (1) receive this Offer in an email sent to you directly from PayPal. (2) Maintain your PayPal account in good standing. The coupon code is included in the email Offer sent to you.
    Redeeming the coupon code:
      •  The coupon expires on April 15th, 2013 23:59:59 Pacific Standard Time, U.S.
      •  No minimum purchase required.
      •  Each registered PayPal User ID can redeem the coupon once only in one single purchase.
      •  If you spend less than the coupon code value in one transaction, the remaining unused balance for that coupon code will be forfeited.
      •  To redeem this coupon when making a purchase, you must choose to pay with PayPal and enter the coupon code CLACNM15 into the redemption box during the checkout process.
      •  The coupon has no cash value, it cannot be withdrawn to your bank account, cannot be transferred or assigned and cannot be forwarded to a third party. The coupon will not be substituted for cash, and no alternative prize will be offered. This Promotion cannot be resold, transferred, or combined with any other offer, discount, or promotion.

PayPal reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify part or this entire Offer at any time without notice, for any reason in its sole discretion.

I can certify it's legit since I have already used it myself and have read that other people received the same e-mail and used it as well.

Anyone else received it? What are you going to spend them on?

I am going to try it. It would be great if this code worked. I am in dire need of new screen protectors for all my devices. If it does work, I will post again. Thanks in advance!

I don't think it's legit or there is probably a catch to it. I'm going to try it and see if it works too.

It is legit. The sender's e-mail is certainly PayPal's. It's just a promotion they're having to get people buying on eBay, I guess. If it wasn't legit, then it wouldn't work when paying on eBay, would it?

By the way, and just to make things clear, if you did NOT receive this e-mail in your PayPal's address inbox, then it will not work. So make sure to check for that!

Lol, guys like the thread starter said, the code is good only for one time use, it really won't work if you use it since you have to be able to receive the email directly from Paypal. Anyway, I hope to be able to receive the email as well, it would be nice to be able to use it on Ebay.

I'm actually wondering if this offer is available only for US residents, or if worldwide users also stand a chance of receiving the email as well. So if someone who's not a US resident also receives the email, then kindly clarify this for us! ;)

    Reporting for duty! :p

I'm from Argentina (South America) and I received it. So it should be available worldwide! :)

Nice, so it's open to worldwide Paypal users then. Unfortunately, I still haven't received the email, so it must be pretty random. Too bad, I just bought a memory card from Ebay, I would have loved to get a discount, hehe. Thank you for your confirmation! ;)

Does anyone have the "associated email address" to be linked to your PayPal account to get the coupon to work?

Seems like this might actually be legit. I am usually very skeptical about these types of things but I am willing to give this one a try. I am not sure as to how you get picked for this, how do you get the email sent to you?
I guess there might be a catch after all (haha).

Huh? All you need to do is check your inbox for the e-mail associated with your PayPal account, and see if you got an e-mail from [email protected] titled '[Your name], free $15 to spend on anything at eBay.com!'. If you got it, login to eBay, find anything you want to buy and add it to your cart, and then enter 'CLACEX15' in the checkout process.

I believe it was completely random :)

Yep, it's still valid for a few more weeks. According to PayPal support, they're giving these out randomly BUT only to new accounts or accounts that haven't made many transactions. Makes sense for me - I keep 2 PayPal accounts, one for personal stuff and another one for business, which I recently opened. I only got the coupon on the newest one.

Some even claim that they opened new PayPal accounts and received the coupon within 4 days. I haven't tried it out yet, so I don't know if it's true.
