I have never received any of these emails before, well I'm new to PayPal, so I might get them in the future. Although I don't think I would fall for them, at least I hope not, because I always check the sender's email and like Sue321 said they write the name you have in your PayPal Account not just a customer. I'm wondering, do they spam a bunch of email addresses with the same email and hoping to find a naive person to fall for their scam or do they know that certain emails are connected to PayPal?
