I, too, love my PBJ sandwich. I gotta say that my favorite is strawberry. I don't really like grapes. I just think that strawberry preserves compliment the flavor of peanut butter more. I'm a sucker for peanut butter. You can eat it with anything. With the chunky type, I usually put that alone in my bread. I also eat it with crackers, bananas, or milk.
I haven't had a PB&J sandwich in a while, but when I have had them, my preference is smooth peanut butter coupled with grape jam or jelly. Strawberry seems too sweet to me and I do not like the taste of most other "mainstream" flavors. Now I want a PB&J sandwich!
I don't have a favorite brand of jelly, but I prefer any brand that is organic/natural. I find that the jelly taste more like homemade when it is organic/natural. They also contain far less sugar. I'm not a fan of jelly that is way too sweet. I like jelly that is just sweet enough and contains no added sugars. I am the same way with peanut butter.
I usually just use peanut butter alone. But if I had to chose, I would say blackberry. I just love the texture and taste of blackberries, much more than any other type of berry.
Those are some healthy treats for us to eat and also for the kids. I can eat that any time of day and it keeps you full longer. Another one I like is plum preserves and it is oh so good as well, but my favorites are peach and strawberry preserves. I always keep them on hand for a favorite treat during the day.
I don't eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that often. My son now will eat them sometimes so I have tried a new combo recently. I've always liked strawberry and raspberry. The latest one that I think is my current favorite is boysenberry. It's really good!
There's no such thing as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without grape jelly. This thread didn't make any sense to me from the get go ;-). What's next, asking me what type of peanut butter I like in it?
As a child they used to bribe me to eat my food by giving me a peanut butter half-sandwich. At one point my favorite was apple jelly, now I don't eat jelly at all. I usually spread peanut butter on a bagel or have it with honey on wheat toast. I try not to eat a lot of bread though, so it isn't something I have that often.
I used to eat PB&J all the time when I was a kid. I always use grape jelly on my sandwich, but I have to say that strawberry jelly is the bomb. It's next on my list.
It's Welches grape jelly for me. I have not had it in a long time, but this discussion is making me crave it. However, when I was a child, my favorite sandwich was peanut butter and honey. My parents could afford honey. I cannot afford it at $4 to $5 a pop.
There are a lot of jellies, jams and preserves out there. My favorite to get at the store are smuckers strawberry preserves and concord grape jelly .
