If there is a Publix in your area I highly recommend you do a lot of your shopping there. Not only are the stores very clean and the staff friendly, but they have one of the best coupon policies of all the stores. Also, they have great Buy One Get One Free deals every single week! If you want to check them out before you go shopping head to Publix.com/bogo

I have a few questions about this store:

    1. Do they have any stores based outside of the US, in countries such as the UK? If so, can you tell me if there's a store anywhere near Kent in the UK?
    2. When you say they have great coupon deals, do you mean they regularly give out coupons as a reward program?

What is Publix? I have never heard of it. What do they sell? I am with Grumpy, I have never heard of this store, so some information on the location would be helpful!

I was just about to write about Publix! I felt bad for knocking Kroger, but Publix is a great alternative. Sometimes they can be a little high, but the BOGO sales are amazing! And everyone there is always friendly; the store is always clean. Love love love it!

Oh, to answer some of your questions, Publix is based out of Florida and is only located in the Southeastern United States. I wish they would expand!

It is indeed a very clean and friendly store. It's basically like Walmart, but without the clothing, jewelery e.t.c Just pure grocery. The prices are the same as any other store, but they have regular deals/coupons and samples. The staff are made sure to be extra polite, with each cashier having its own bagger that could walk you to your car if needed (no charge, and they don't take tips). It's only in the southeastern states, especially Florida, which makes it good marketing considering the population of older people around here who find Publix perfect for them.

I love Publix! They moved to my area about a year ago and since then all the other grocery store have remodeled their stores trying to compete with them. Bruno's also started the BOGO free sales right at the front of their store just like Publix. The reason their store brands are so good is that they own several manufacturing plants and dairies! Their yogurt is better than the leading brands, I think, and most of their cereals are excellent, also.

I'm in Florida, USA and we have a lot of Publix stores here. Their stores and bathrooms are immaculately clean and I'm on a first name basis with many of the cashiers, who recognize my daughter even if she comes in with her father or another relative.

Publix is building a store in Mobile, AL near me and I've heard a lot of good things about Publix so I'm excited. I did hear however, that they are no longer offering their 'buy your groceries online and we'll have them ready for you and put them in your car for you' policy. That would have been heavenly! I have also heard that they double coupons on certain days. That would be great.

I love Publix! They bag your groceries and will help you take them out to the car for you. I tried to give a tip the first time and the employee said they are not supposed to accept them. I really like their service throughout all the store too. Then in the deli they have Boar's Head products, which is excellent. My husband is picky, that's the only kind he will eat. In Florida, we sometimes get a $5 or $10 off groceries coupons if you buy about $30 or $40 or more. I've heard they not only accept their own coupons like that, but their competitor's as well.

They are nice and have good stuff, but you are also paying for it. They are the most expensive stores in the area and are just a bit less expensive than places like Whole Foods. The product there is really good; especially the subs and they are the only grocery chain, in FL at least, that can sell Boar's Head deli items.
