Our local government has been giving an incentive to the residents who pay their realty taxes promptly. For paying the tax 3 months in advance before the deadline, you get a 20% discount. Gee, that amount is not a joking matter. The deadline is March 31 so we pay in December. An added bonus is that there is no long line to the cashier's booth because everyone is busy with the holidays. We have been paying realty tax in advance for more than 5 years now.
Ah yes, I am familiar with that discount because my dad has mentioned it to me as well. But since we don't have enough spare money to pay ahead of time, then we always pay by March only.
