Okay, I am a big fan of sour candies. Really, really big fan. But I've had a hard time finding the perfect sour candy. I'm looking for a flavour I miss from my childhood. And guess what? I think I found it. Costco (Canada) sells the Red Band brand sour keys and they are perfect. The right flavour and best of all the right texture. A lot of sour keys get the consistency wrong (too chewy or stale). But these are just great. And for 5.99$ for a huge tin of them, I'm just in heaven. The Red Band candies are made in the European Union somewhere, so they are imported. But man, I can't get enough of them. They remind me exactly of the sour candies I had when I was a kid. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for sour keys.
Ohh thanks for sharing this! I will definitely check those out. I've been on a nostalgia-based candy kick myself. You're right, many of the newer candies just don't have the right 'feel' to them.
